By Kira Westwick

JBT is all about feeling and being the best version of you! Here are 5 energy boosting foods we recommend adding to your diet on a regular basis.

Sweet potatoes - a fantastic source of complex carbohydrates, as well as iron, magnesium and vitamin C - all essential for energy production!

Spinach and other dark leafy greens - spinach is high in magnesium and potassium which are important for nerve and muscle function. It's also loaded with iron. Iron transports oxygen needed for energy production.

Nuts such as almond, Brazil, peanut- nuts are nutrient and energy dense foods that satiate Hunger and provide a sustained energy release.

Quinoa - this super food is actually a seed. It's high in complex carbohydrates, protein and fibre, which give your body a steady stream of energy throughout the day.

Bananas- rich in potassium and B vitamins and healthy carbs, bananas are a great option for a quick energy boost. Pair it with some nut butter for longer lasting energy.
